Shipping policy
At The Perfume Company, we aim to dispatch your order as quickly and smoothly as possible. Please read our shipping policy below for information about processing times, delivery estimates, tracking updates, shipping costs and products dispatched from either our Melbourne warehouse or our trusted suppliers.
Order processing times
Orders are processed and fulfilled within 48 hours or less during business days only, Monday to Friday.
This processing timeframe does not include weekends, public holidays or courier transit time. Once your order has been fulfilled and processed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details.
Please note: processing time and delivery time are separate. Order processing usually takes 1–2 business days, and delivery time begins once the order has been dispatched.
Where your order ships from
To offer a wider range of perfumes, fragrance products and home scenting items, The Perfume Company uses a mixed fulfilment model.
Some items are shipped directly from our Melbourne warehouse. These products are packed and dispatched by our team or warehouse partners.
Some items are shipped directly from our trusted suppliers. This allows us to offer a broader fragrance catalogue while keeping orders moving efficiently.
Because fulfilment can vary by product, we recommend checking the individual product description before placing your order. Where relevant, we include product-specific shipping notes and estimated delivery information on the product page.
Shipping and delivery
We ship with trusted courier partners including Australia Post, Aramex and other reliable delivery providers depending on the parcel, location and service availability.
Delivery times are based on standard courier timeframes and can vary depending on the product, dispatch location, delivery address and courier network conditions.
Many perfume orders are delivered within approximately 10 business days. For the most accurate estimated delivery timeframe, please refer to the shipping note in the individual product description.
Courier delays can sometimes occur and are outside our direct control. If your parcel appears delayed, our team is happy to follow up with the courier or supplier where possible.
Tracking information
You will receive a tracking notification once your order has been fulfilled and processed.
In some cases, the tracking link may not show movement or tracking information immediately. This is normal. If this happens, please allow 1 to 2 business days for tracking updates to become visible.
If your order is shipped directly from a trusted supplier, tracking may be provided once the supplier has processed and dispatched the parcel.
Product-specific delivery information
Delivery timeframes can vary from product to product. Please read the product description carefully before placing your order, especially if you need the item by a specific date.
Some products are dispatched directly from our trusted suppliers, while others are shipped from our Melbourne warehouse. Product pages may include additional information such as supplier-direct dispatch, longer delivery estimates, physical address requirements or express shipping exclusions.

Express shipping
Express shipping is not available on certain products. This may include selected supplier-direct items or products with longer delivery timeframes.
If express shipping has been selected at checkout for an item that is not eligible for express delivery, we will contact you before fulfilling the order to advise you accordingly. Where applicable, we may offer to adjust the shipping method or refund the express shipping difference.
Shipping costs
- Free Standard Shipping for all Australian orders over $99.
- Flat rate standard shipping of $9.95 for Australian orders under $99.
- Express Shipping is available on eligible products only and is calculated at checkout.
Delivery areas
We currently ship Australia-wide.
International shipping may be available on selected orders and will incur shipping charges calculated at checkout. Free shipping applies to Australian orders only.
PO Boxes, parcel lockers and physical delivery addresses
Some products, including selected perfumes and supplier-direct items, cannot be delivered to PO Boxes, parcel lockers or parcel collect addresses due to courier, carrier or supplier delivery restrictions.
To avoid delays, please provide a physical street address at checkout, especially when purchasing perfumes or products with product-specific shipping notes.
If a PO Box, parcel locker or parcel collect address is provided for an item that cannot be delivered to that address type, we may need to contact you for an alternative address before dispatching your order. This may delay fulfilment and delivery.
Incorrect shipping information
Please ensure your shipping address, email address and contact details are entered correctly at checkout.
Some products, including selected perfumes, require a physical delivery address and may not be suitable for PO Boxes, parcel lockers or parcel collect addresses.
The Perfume Company is not responsible for delays, delivery issues, returned parcels or additional costs resulting from incorrect, incomplete or unsupported shipping details provided by the customer.
Split shipments
If your order contains multiple items, they may be shipped separately depending on stock location, product type or whether an item is dispatched from our Melbourne warehouse or directly from one of our trusted suppliers.
If this applies to your order, you may receive more than one tracking notification.
