The Perfume Company started the way most good things do — from a real interest. We're Ben and Jose, two fragrance enthusiasts who wanted to make it easier for Australians to discover, explore, and fall in love with perfume. No fuss, no gatekeeping. Just beautiful scents, honestly presented.
Jose
Fragrance curator & commercial lead
Jose is the nose behind much of the curation at The Perfume Company. With a deep knowledge of perfumery and a genuine love for the craft, he's spent years exploring fragrance families, scent compositions, and the stories behind great perfumes.
He brings a commercial instinct to the store — understanding what customers want, what performs, and how to build a collection that feels both broad and considered. When he's not buried in fragrance notes, you'll find him thinking about the next great addition to the edit.

Digital marketing & operations lead
Ben brings a background in digital marketing and ecommerce to The Perfume Company, managing the day-to-day operations of the store alongside several other online businesses through his ecommerce advisory work.
He's the kind of person who pays attention to the details — the photography, the experience, the little things that make shopping feel good. His approach to building online stores is shaped by the same care a perfumer brings to a blend: everything has to work together.
